Christopher Pincher toasts the town

Tamworth’s new MP joined the town’s new Mayor at a civic reception at Bolehall Club on Sunday. Christopher Pincher joined Mayor Lee Bates and other members of the civic community including the mayors of Lichfield, Cannock and Leek and the Deputy High Sheriff of Staffordshire to celebrate the beginning of the new council year.
Christopher Pincher, who was asked to propose the toast to Tamworth, said:
“It is a great honour for me, just a week after my election, to be asked to propose the health of our town. I would like to thank our former MP, Brian Jenkins and out going mayor, Gerry Pinner, for all they have done for Tamworth. I also wish Lee Bates a successful year as our first citizen. Our town has a famous past. I am sure it has a bright future. That is what we must all work to achieve.”
